Payment Policy

To ensure clarity and consistency, please review our payment policy below:

  1. Payment at Time of Service
    Full payment or a completed insurance claim form is required at the time services and products are provided.
  2. Insurance Excess Payments
    • For insured patients, payment for insurance excess and any products or services that cannot be claimed is always required at the time of the appointment.
    • If the client is unsure of the excess amount, a standard charge of £250 will apply.
    • Alternatively, we would greatly appreciate full payment of the invoice, after which the insurance company will reimburse you directly.
  3. Treatment Estimates for Planned Procedures
    When a patient is booked for a planned procedure, we will provide an estimated treatment plan ahead of time for your review.
  4. Deposits for Planned Procedures
    • A deposit is required following the admission appointment and prior to carrying out any planned procedure, to ensure payment.
    • The remaining balance will be due upon collection of your pet.
    • The following deposits apply:
      – Dental dog (scale and polish): £730
      – Dental cat (scale and polish): £630
      – Bitch spay 1-20kg: £480
      – Bitch spay 20-40kg: £650
      – Bitch spay >40kg: £800
      – Dog castration 1-20kg: £350
      – Dog castration 20-40kg: £400
      – Dog castration 40-60kg: £500
      – Dog castration >60kg: £700  
      – Cat spay: £300
      – Cat castration: £250
      – Soft tissue surgery: £800
      – CCWO: £2500
      – Other orthopaedic surgeries: £1300
      – Orthopaedic x-rays and/or joint tap: £600
      – Diagnostics & hospitalisation: £300
      – Diagnostics & sedation: £500
  5. Insurance Pre-Authorisation
    • For insured patients undergoing planned procedures, a pre-authorisation with the insurance provider will be required.
    • Payment equal to the insurance excess must still be made in advance.
  6. Accepted Payment Methods
    We accept the following payment methods:
    • Cash
    • Credit/debit card (Please note: American Express is not accepted)
  7. Insurance Companies We Do Not Deal With Directly
    • Due to slow claims processing, we do not deal directly with Purely Pets and Co-op Insurance.
    • If your pet is insured with one of these companies, you will be required to pay in full and request reimbursement from your insurer directly.
